5 Steps You Can Take To Get A Better Start To Your Day

Sometimes it only takes making adjustments in little ways to make a big impact. Have you considered simplifying your approach so you can experience a more vibrant day? Today, I’m sharing 5 steps you can take RIGHT NOW to get a better start to your day. Are you ready for them? Scroll to read more!

1. GET MORE REST.

I can’t get with this hustle culture that never likes to rest. I have worn myself out trying to work, work, work, work, work nonstop. Resting allows you to do things like clear your conscious, breathe, take your eyes away from what’s pulling so much energy and temporarily giving yourself the break you might need. What rest have you missed out on lately trying to be more productive? Have you had a quiet moment? Have you taken a vacation? Do you make time to think about your personal needs? Are you getting sleep? Working these types of relaxations into your routine can help you keep going strong.

2. LOOK IN THE MIRROR MORE OFTEN.

…literally. A real mirror, y’all. Something powerful happens when you’re looking at yourself and observing, and making yourself consciously aware of what others see when they look at you. Mirror time is good for practicing confidence, and boosted confidence can affect the way you think about yourself and the way you speak to yourself. So, before you pick up that to-do list or take on the cares and worries of someone else’s day, build yourself up. Look at yourself in the mirror, observe and speak up about who you are really made to be!

3. LISTEN MORE THAN YOU SPEAK.

You’ll be amazed what you learn and obtain when you do more listening than you do speaking. Top performers have gotten ahead because of simply allowing themselves to take in more information than they produce. When you take in information, you can hear more about the needs of others, you can gather information you might have been missing, and you can learn something new!

4. REMEMBER YOUR WHY.

Why do you do what you do? What makes you so committed to what it is you’re going after? What was the reason you first started what you’re about to do? Whatever the answers are to these questions are what is going to be the reason you will keep your passion. It will be the reason you choose action. It will be the driving force behind many of the decisions you might make throughout the day. Do yourself a favor and keep a visual of your answers. Write them down, place them in your highly-visited spaces, and mediate on this!

5. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS.

As I’m entering back into a season of waiting right now, I remember when I prayed for what I’ve obtained. I remember those long days and nights waiting for where I stand right now. What keeps me encouraged and helps me to remain humble is when I look back to see how far I’ve come. When you consciously choose to be thankful, peace follows. Joy comes. Love abides. Strength rises. Don’t ever underestimate the power of thankfulness.

Incorporating these simple habits can make a HUGE impact on your effectiveness, and will give you a better start to your day! You’re very much so equipped. You actually do have what you need. So here’s my question to you.

WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH WHAT YOU HAVE?
