The Secret Behind How I Accomplished My BIG Goals

The game changed when I started crossing my biggest goals off my list of things to accomplish. I’m talking about the goals that seemed scary and felt impossible to achieve. Today, I’m sharing the secret behind how I was able to achieve what I consider to be my wildest dreams. You ready? Keep reading!

Let me take you to the end of my 2019. There I was staring at a list FULL of goals I had not yet achieved. In perspective, there was nothing trivial about this list. I HAD BIG GOALS that seemed impossible to attain.

I had just moved back to my hometown with my husband. We basically uprooted and started over…AGAIN. As I looked at the list with no concrete plan for how we would adapt again, I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel.

“How am I going to achieve any of this?!”
I ran across a week-long “Dream Job Challenge” in December 2019 that exposed me. That challenged revealed my deepest fears that were hindering my growth. It was sickening to know I had let my own thoughts to disqualify me. I couldn’t live that way any longer. I had had ENOUGH. That moment became pivotal for me, because it was the month I decided to change my approach to attaining the goals that scared me.

I STARTED PAYING ATTENTION TO MYSELF.

I became more intentional about my habits, my commitments, my thoughts, and everything about my day-to-day endeavors. I started learning myself, how I’ve regressed or grown and how I responded to life’s circumstances.

In learning myself, it became EASY for me to identify what was beneficial to me and what was not. Then it became easy to say “yes”  to opportunities and “no” to anything that threatened my progress.

As a result, I accomplished my top 3 big goals, and this opened the door for more goals to be accomplished.

Nothing about my shift was easy…
…everything about my shift was simple.

I kept myself from pursuing those giant goals because I was missing ACCOUNTABILITY and GUIDANCE. I had convinced myself that it was something else holding me back from accomplishing my goals.
